Alone Series I

This is a long exposure series I started a few years back. Always been awed by nature and how small we are, so by putting myself or a friend in these gorgeous surroundings Im trying to add some scale to just how small we are and how we need to stop and just stand still and listen to nature. So here are some pictures taken arround the globe from my home town Stockholm all the way to Kauai in Hawaii and also the Lofoten Islands in Norway and the magical photogenic land called Iceland.

Taken last weekend up in a swedish national park called Fulufjället. The waterfall is swedens highest (97m) and is called Njupeskär.

This was the last shot I ever got to take with my beloved camera. I wasn't really pleased with my position in this self-portrait for the Alone Series I usually try and take when I'm out on fantastic places like this one. Did some adjustments and went back out on the cliff. it was a 30 sec exposure and 15 seconds in i heard a strange noise behind me. When I turned I saw my camera gear under water with just the tripod legs sticking up due to a big wave that came out of no where(had been standing on the same spot for an hour and the waves wasn't near that cliff). You can imagine what went through my mind there and then. The camera AND the lens is declared dead so I'm sitting here just gotten the insurance money and waiting for the camera store to open so I can replace my 5d2 with a brand new one.
The trip was amazing but due to the accident it got way more expensive then I calculated with...

Love waterfalls, I don't know why but I do. ANd to go to Iceland when you love waterfalls is not a bad idea. Its not a bad idea to go if you like me like taking picture of beautiful nature either.
So here is a shot of me, at the mighty Godafoss, its not the biggest fall, concerning height but its just so accessible and beautiful so after seeing all the other waterfall this one is my favorite...thus far anyways.
