A misty day

When I saw that it was going to be a misty day yesterday I decided to take my camera and try and capture the mood that misty conditions give. Its really one of my favourites. I went to Skogskyrkogården(the woodland cemetery) located a couple of kilometers south of Stockholm City. The Cemetery is on the UNESCO world heritage list and a really peaceful place just to wander around. This Stockholm cemetery was created between 1917 and 1920 by two young architects, Asplund and Lewerentz, on the site of former gravel pits overgrown with pine trees. The design blends vegetation and architectural elements, taking advantage of irregularities in the site to create a landscape that is finely adapted to its function. It has had a profound influence in many countries of the world.
